Thrill The World 2008

If there was any question about Thrill The World’s popularity, by 2008 all doubt disappeared. On October 25th/26th, a total of 4179 participants from 73 events in 72 cities from 10 countries danced to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” Michael himself took in the spectacle perhaps the best way possible — that is, if not dancing – by flying high over the Los Angeles event in a helicopter! Eleven cities broke the 100 participant mark, including L.A., but it was Austin, Texas, that set the bar with a whopping 880 participants!

Celebrity Sighting:
Ola Ray, famous for her role as Michael’s date in the “Thriller” music video, appeared at the Portland, Oregon, event.
Adam G. Sevani (Step Up 3-D) danced at the event in Los Angeles, California.
